Hajia Khadijah Abdullahi-Iya is a strong advocate for women and the plights of children, she is very passionate about community development and social change. Her life’s goal is to chart a legacy through social impact.

A Graduate of Law
A graduate of Law from the University of Abuja and Masters in Law and Diplomacy from the University of Jos, Hajia Abdullahi-Iya has adopted continuous learning, focus and determination as her strategy to personal growth and development.
Founded a variety of social enterprises and businesses
Khadijah started out as a journalist for Leadership Newspaper, and went on to gain experiences from Legal Practice and in Banking & Finance.
She has founded a variety of social enterprises and businesses. Notably, she is the Editor-in-Chief/CEO of S. I. Magazine Ltd (Magazine focused on Humanitarian journalism & social development); Executive Director of Beyond Mentors Community Care Initiatives ( BMCCi ) which is focused on women and children with the mandate to promote empowerment, encourage literacy from grassroots & inculcating the spirit of patriotism as well as an Executive Director of Women Community in Africa (WCA), an advocacy arm of BMCCi.
Founder of Beyond Mentors Community Care Initiatives
As the Founder/Executive Director of Beyond Mentors Community Care Initiatives, a non-Governmental organisation originally set up as a social enterprise (Beyond Mentors Inc), she uses the platform to address and prevent poverty from the cradle in Nigeria, especially Northern Nigeria.
She sits on the Board of some SMEs and possesses over 10 years experience in humanitarian and community outreach programmes.
Khadijah Abdullahi-Iya consults and facilitates programmes and trainings for SMEs in collaboration with Governmental/Non Governmental Agencies and organisations.
Rags to Riches (R2R) Club
She established Rags to Riches (R2R) Club in schools in Abuja. The club has been inaugurated in eight public schools in Kaduna State, and has extended its programmes to accommodate out-of-school curriculum (for children in IDP camp schools in the North East) in collaboration with Life Builders Initiatives, another NGO in Abuja. R2R has grown to over 181 members.
Hajia Abdullahi-Iya's strides towards social change and community development has won her an Award for Excellence for promoting quality education In Nigeria, from the Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for All (CSACEFA). Just recently, she was also awarded with a Luminary Character Award for Excellence for promoting cultural Awareness and Character.
Besieged with calls to take up political positions that met with her outright refusals in the past, in October 2018, she finally accepted the nomination by Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) as a vice presidential candidate to deputise Mr. Fela Durotoye in his vision of birthing a New Nigeria in the 2019 General Elections.
She is happily married to Alhaji Haruna Dalhatu Iya, a building Engineer & former Deputy Director of CBN, from the Royal Family of Masaba Dynasty. He has the coveted title of Iyan Nupe. Khadijah has 5 biological children & has raised many others.
